he/they | 75 | ♂ + ♂Born as twins, Lux and Tenebris have been together since the moment of their birth. Though neither of them looks very much alike (being near polar opposites of each other in every way), there is no doubting that their bond as family is strong. When both were young their parents decided to leave the village they were born in to seek a better life for their children elsewhere. Unfortunately they died on the journey, when a monster attacked their caravan. The driver barely made it out alive with the two babies in tow.The driver managed to make it to thavnair, where a kind dancer took in the two orphaned babes and raised them as her own. Lux and Tenebris have been a part of that dancer troupe ever since. It was there they learned neither of them was quite normal, having special abilities. Blessed by the moon goddess at birth, Tenebris has power over the shadows and an ability to heal. However, there is a limit to his healing magic. He can only heal another if the wound is not fatal or pre-existing. Originally he had to have his brother present to heal, but since his death it seems the sun gods blessing has been given to tenebris as well, allowing him to heal others on his own. He tends to keep his powers secret for the most part, fearful of what might happen if the wrong person found out.Tenebris is a soft spoken and gentle soul. He can be quite timid when you first meet him and isn't likely to be the one to initiate anything. He desires to be more confident, like he used to be--but with the loss of his brother he's retreated even further into his shell.In his youth (before meeting his ex fiance), Tenebris was a fierce and bold spirit. He reveled in learning fighting styles and specialized in battle dance. While he never had much reason to fight and has ever been a more peace-minded soul, he was a force to be reckoned with. It was his idea, in fact, to search for the place of their birth; they were merely 15 at the time. Perhaps he and Lux hoped to find some family there. Instead they found the remains of a Garlean camp and barely escaped with their lives. Tenebris now forever bears a scar along his temple, hidden by his bangs.When taking on his brothers power (after disease took him), Tenebris' appearance changed. His hair went from white with black, to black with white (like his brother) and his right eye became black instead of its usual silver. Though his skin and much else has stayed the same, these changes are sure to be noticeable to anyone that knows him.He chose to remain in Thavnair after his brothers death, grief consuming him. He ended up working for an old merchant in the area. The man had no children and his wife was long gone. Tenebris became a friend, a good friend to the old man. In the end he married the merchant and remained a platonic companion to the man, caring for him in his last moments. The merchant left everything in his possession to Tenebris and the viera took over the business. These days he mostly delegates, due to an unfortunate incident that ended in him going blind. The injury ended his career completely as a battle dance, but despite his pretty face make no mistake--Tenebris can still fight and hold his own.Gone is the shy, timid viera who desperately wished for love. Tene is mostly closed off to all--but if you knew him once, he may still have a soft spot for you. Besides that he mostly seeks out someone to warm his bed, but no longer seems to desire a true love of any sort.
